Mont-Tremblant is without a doubt the best area to ski in eastern North America.
The Tremblant ski area has 94 trails for all levels.
You are only 7 minutes from the North side of Tremblant skiing from the chalet. Starting on the North side allows you to avoid long lines, find easy parking and hit the slopes faster! (Tickets, rentals and a cafeteria are available.) To get there, turn right onto Tour du Lac. At the end, turn right onto Lac Superieur and stay straight until you see a fork in the road and signs for Tremblant ski area. Take a left at the fork onto Duplessis. Two minutes later, signs will point to the right for the North side parking lot.
The main village at the base of Tremblant is a fun area, and it is where ski school classes meet in the mornings. The enclosed gondola will get you to the top of the mountain in comfort and you have a vast choice of restaurants and shopping here as well. If you’d rather start your ski day from the village, follow the directions above to reach Duplessis, then continue for approximately 20 minutes until you see signs for parking areas (the main parking area is to the right just after an underpass, although you will pass two or three overflow parking areas on the way).
The Mont-Blanc ski area also offers a good choice of trails for all levels and has several family-oriented specials and services. The mountain is about 20 minutes from the chalet. To get there, turn left onto Lac Superieur and continue until you reach route 117. Ski Mont-Blanc is on the other side of 117 (drive under the bridge and directly into the parking lot).
