What could be more relaxing than enjoying beautiful views while paddling along wilderness lakes and rivers and kicking back on their sandy beaches? Some of the best kayaking and canoeing opportunities in Quebec are a few minutes drive from the Chalet Pic-Bois.
The Mont-Tremblant provincial park offers a network of hundreds of navigable kilometers of rivers and lakes. You can rent canoes or kayaks at the Monroe lake service center. An extremely popular trip is canoeing down the Diable river. The park offers a shuttle service that transports you and your canoe to the starting point (Lac Chat) and then from the end (at the park entrance) back to your car at Monroe lake. It is highly suggested that you reserve your trip at least one day in advance since the shuttle gets filled up quickly in the summer months.
